Why Must We Look Into The Mirror?

Previously I spoke of filters or core issues that are formed from our erroneous beliefs built over lifetimes and how they "shade" our experiences from coming through to us as they are truly intended. Your next question may be, "how do I recognize them in myself, and how do I work with them?"

There is a built in system for third dimensional reality. In order to reach the answer to the question, I first had to learn that we are in what the light realms call separated reality. We left oneness, which is where higher dimensional beings reside, to experience separation. Doing so, we went from experiencing ourselves as one with all that is to experiencing ourselves as separate from everything around us.

Imagine yourself feeling at one with your fellow man, the trees, all of creation around you. You know that you are love, that you are God. You know what others are feeling and experiencing. There are no secrets. A daunting thought from where we operate in a place of separation. Not only have we hidden thoughts and feelings from others that we feel ashamed or afraid to expose, but we've even hidden our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs from ourselves. They control us by clouding or filtering our experiences, and they are not truth. Mostly, unless we focus, we aren't even aware that they are present and running. It makes you a hamster on a wheel.

So what is the solution? How do we get off the wheel? How do we recognize our hidden thoughts and beliefs, the core that runs our reality? The Universe provides the solution by asking us to look into the mirror and bravely face what is reflected back to us in separated reality. This is much easier than it sounds.

I remember going to my first channeled session. I was urged by friends to go to this channel. When she opened her door she looked behind me and above my head, and then at me. I thought that this was extremely strange. She later explained to me that Arch Angel Michael had been very busy bringing her people so that he could get a message though. Apparently, I had been escorted by him and several of my team to her door. He was building what she termed his legion of light here on Earth. And, when she channeled, he came through.

Part of his message to me was to have courage and look into the mirror. Since we are in a position of self evasion, the Universe assists us by mirroring back to us our beliefs through someone in our reality. They mirror those issues that we avoid looking at or are aware of directly within ourselves. Interesting right? Painful and uncomfortable as well. Our biggest mirrors are those people most predominant in our lives. They also know how to push our buttons the easiest. They are the people in our reality that have agreed to mirror to us our deepest core issues.

Let me provide you with an example. A few years ago, I had a supervisor that pressed me and pressured me. He was constantly pointing out how I needed to do this or that. Even so, I did my best to perfect and change how I did things, not knowing at the time that he was heavily mirroring back to me my own beliefs of "not good enough". Since this supervisor, I have been provided with ample opportunity to experience this same mirror through others armed with a different awareness so that I may recognize myself in the mirror and make a different choice about how I am feeling and believing about myself.

As I stated in my previous message, it is extremely difficult to face this type of core mirror. In bravely doing so and choosing the opposite with feeling or emotion in the moment, you are taking the steps that you need to heal and reprogram your core beliefs of self back to your original blue print. Simply stated, you are enough and always have been. The Creator sees you as so. Being a part of the Creator in physicality, how can you be any thing but enough?

How do the people in our lives know that they need to mirror to us? They contract with us at a higher level to perform this function. Often they do their jobs well. Other times, they leave us holding the bag to resolve our issues with another. However, this is a topic that I will explore further in an upcoming message.

Who are your mirrors? What are they showing you about you? Will you choose differently next time when faced with your mirrors?

What Do You Mean "Core Issues"?

After working with energy, learning about the different chakras, and using clearing techniques for myself and others, I was moved on to core issues. At first, I didn't really understand why we needed to shift to this level of understanding. It was similar to the feeling that I had when I was first introduced to "healing". What did I need to heal? What do you mean, I have core issues?

I had attended classes and sat through the same discussions and teachings as the rest of my class, or so I thought. Then, the point was brought up, do each of you think that you are hearing the same teachings? That got my attention. Were we? As it turns out, each of us has our own unique set of filters that we wear from our life's experiences that automatically shift our perception of reality and how we interact with it.

These filters are built out of lifetimes of beliefs. Yes, I said lifetimes. As it turns out, we carry these beliefs with us each time we incarnate hoping to resolve them where they were created, in the body. As with energies that we are working to heal or clear, the beliefs have to come up and be present for us to change what we believe about ourselves. We have to experience the erroneous or "miss" belief to "repattern" it. We have to be in the presence of the emotion, a very uncomfortable place, and that is the difficult part. You must be in the presence of it to make a different choice. That means you have to feel the feelings and reach deep within yourself to draw out the opposite, or the truth of who you really are to repattern it.

These beliefs, which are compounded with each lifetime if we do not work through them to get to the truth, go all the way back to the lifetime in which they were created. This is called the core, or the core issues. For some of us, they were created a very long time ago. What are they? I believe you are familiar with these topics, each of us has at least three and as many as six - not good enough, unworthy, victim consciousness (poor me), powerlessness, abandonment and betrayal, and poverty consciousness. One of them is your core and plays the predominant theme throughout your life.

For purposes of illustration, I will use a current hit movie to explore the theme "not good enough". The main character in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", Jay Baruchel, plays a young man who had a magical, unexplainable encounter as a young boy. This encounter was tied to a first love and mapped the next ten formative years of his life in regard to romance or being able to approach potential interests. He was a brilliant student in physics, but when it came to love or interests in girls, he was operating from an embarassing moment that kept replaying in his head from a decade ago rendering him helpless to pursue his dream girl. The young sorcerer could eventually throw plasma balls and bolts of lightening (which brought up all his not good enough issues through the learning process) but was still working through his issues of not being good enough in order to win the girl of his dreams!

Eventually, David our young sorcerer, gains confidence by being pushed through experiences, much like we are pushed to face our experiences, and is afforded the opportunity to choose differently more so then ever before! Dramatically so, he retrains his brain and his body to the molecular level, repatterning himself into a great sorcerer and a confident young man. He wins the girl too! Although this is a hollywood example and we will not be throwing plasma balls (yet), this is very close to the truth of how the process of healing core issues is won.

What are your core issues? What theme keeps playing in your reality? What events bring up the fear in the pit of your stomach? How will you choose differently?

You Are Fluid and So Is Your Path!

As I moved along, consuming all information regarding the spiritual, learning to meditate and to listen within, I was taught to realize that I am all things, have been all things in my journey. So how could shamanism be my only path? I had several teachers who showed up quickly, and one who stayed. I began to look outside of what I was limiting myself to experiencing spiritually. And, I was at the beginning of seeing how I had limited the movement of spirit within myself. I began to work with energy, learning that I could work with my own and the energy of others.

When I first realized that I had this gift, which is inherent in all of us, I felt a piece of the puzzle click into place. My world changed and my place in it. A part of that which was missing was found in me and brought me great joy. However, my journey was still beginning and I had yet to learn that even this was just another stepping stone to discovering who I was and remembering parts of myself.

As I began to explore, I noticed that my spiritual landscape was as fluid as my energy and needed to be. I was moving, absorbing, discovering and realizing that as I needed a teacher they would appear. The one who has stayed, has brought all aspects of the spiritual into fluid movement, combining and utilizing aspects of teachings to propel forward movement within myself and others. I have learned that what is needed at one point in the journey may not be needed at another point, and can always be revisited as required like an old friend that has helped you along the way.

Most important, find your starting point. What calls to you? Where will you begin? Are you limiting how spirit can move within and through you? What brings you joy?

You Say I Should Heal? What?

I remember saying, when asked if I would attend a "healing dream workshop", what do I need to heal?! I had no idea how deep this question could go and what it would involve. I merely desired to learn about taking control of my dreams. My participation in the conscious dreaming workshop was the beginning of a very interesting path that started in earnest about eight years ago. At the time I was convinced that my journey had to have a title, a texture, a feel if you will. The entrance into self healing was originally shamanism which consisted of astral travel, conscious dreaming, and drumming.

At first, I felt starved for the spiritual. It was as if my feet found a path and there would be no diversion from it. It was like the Universe was saying "your in!" It wasn't going to let me turn away from my path into awakening. I was on the fast track to change! More in my next post.
